Ana Dubljević

Ana Dubljevic (1980, Belgrade) is a performer and author in expanded field of choreography. Her artistic interest dwells around “dancing” concepts, questions, relations, languages and bodies. Focus of her work is on politicality, on one side – of art and art work, and on the other – politicality of our everyday individual and collective lives, today.

Ana Dubljević is an active member of Station Service for contemporary dance Belgrade, holds a bachelor degree in fine arts and basic level degree for yoga instructor. Her educational and artistic development in contemporary dance and choreography has been realized through different sorts of non-institutional platforms such are Enparts Campus 2010, NOMAD Dance Academy 2008, DanceWEB/ImpulsTanz 2007, Fostering Creativity and InteatroFestival Academy 2006; is a supported artist within APAP Network; was a part of The Curatorial Project 2011 and had residencies like Life long Burning with Workspace Brussels 2013, Jardin dÉurope in Cullberg Theater 2012 and in Mogosoaia Center 2008. This year, Ana is enrolled in MA Choreography and Performance studies in Giessen, Germany.

As a performer Ana worked with  choreographers and theater directors – Dalija Acin, Isidora Stanisic, svetlana Djurovic, Aleksandar Popovski, Andjelka Nikolic and others, being a part of different awarded performances. In her choreographic work, amongst are performances  It, Let’s start from the beginning, Performance (that is not called pussies in dicks), Tell them about the dream and Temporaries,  there is a focus on collaborations and an interest in exploring various ways of creating in non-hierarchical structures.
