We are opening the call for the workshop Intention, Invitation, Initiation, led by New York artist André M. Zachery, as part of the Puzzle #8 program. The workshop will take place at the Magacin Cultural Center in Belgrade from December 3rd to 6th, 2024, from 16:00 to 20:00.

This workshop is conceived and led by André M. Zachery (Artistic Director, Renegade Performance Group) as a laboratory for exploration through time and space. Through given prompts and tasks participants will be guided through movement sequences that seek to find the synergies between the interplay of physicality and acoustic resonance.

Interested dance practitioners are invited to apply via email at stanica.info@gmail.com, submitting a short biography by November 27. Please also include a few sentences about what motivates you to participate in this workshop.

The space is limited, so we would like to ask interested participants to apply quickly to secure their spots. The workshop is free and is organized in collaboration with Movement Research from New York, with the support of the GPS/Global Practice Sharing program, the Trust for Mutual Understanding fund, Life Long Burning, Nomad Dance Academy, and the Creative Europe program of the European Union.

Puzzle#8 is a new cycle within the Puzzle platform, aimed at systematically exchanging knowledge and experience between a generation of established choreographers, theorists, and younger artists. It also seeks to present an educational model that is open, experimental, and inclusive, questioning the academic and institutional approach to contemporary performing arts in our region.
