Last night at the Cultural Centre Grad, the performance (MUŠ)KOST U GRLU was presented — the first full-length dance work by Miloš Janjić, created in collaboration with a large number of women authors.

Through principles of collaborative creation, personal storytelling, and a DIY-style production that departs from conventional performing arts procedures, a powerful piece emerged — one that activated the Kondenz audience to collectively discuss issues of masculinity, the patriarchal structures of child-rearing, especially of boys, the violence that inevitably arises from such systems, and the need for tenderness and love as forces that dismantle patriarchal and violent patterns of relationships.

After the performance, a conversation was moderated by Miona Đenisijević, a student of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, who is in charge of plenary discussions with artists and audiences at this year’s Kondenz.
